Frequently asked questions
I'm not sure which goal to get?
We have an adjustable goal range and a fixed size, small goal range. All of our goals have multiple uses.
If you're a club, school or academy, then our T2 (grass or soft grounds only) or our T3 are our most popular models and are used for both trainings, and game-day. Our T1 can be used for games but is most often used for practice, and is particularly popular for football tennis. Our T-models are all adjustable to over 35+ sizes from 2m x 1m (6'7 x 3'3) to 5m x 2m (16'5 x 6'7), and are interchangeable so can be upgraded with purchase of single parts.
Our smaller T-REX is perfect for youth games and is the FA recommended size for all ages under 7. It is also great for training drills and small sided games for any age or ability. We offer custom net printing for a complete professional look featuring club badges, sponsors, or even pitch numbers on the side nets so players and parents can find their games easily.
All of these goals are also great for backyards depending on budget and available space. All of our goals fold down and pack away for easy transport to your local park, club, beach, or holiday home!
Shipping - when can I expect to receive my goal?

Shipping charges will be added at checkout. New Zealand and UK delivery target time is 1 - 3 days.
Australia delivery target time is 7 - 10 days.
USA delivery target time is 3-7 days.
We also ship to other places around the world. If you're wondering what delivery time is like to your country, reach out to us via our website chat or send an email to info@telescopicgoal.com!
How easy is it to change sizes and/or move the goals between locations?
Our T models are designed to be as easy and effective in their ability to adjust sizes and maintain portability as possible.
Sizes are clearly labelled across the goal with a coloured marking system, making it easy for quick adjustment. The locking system is easy to use and guarantees stability while the carabiners ensure a tight net at all times.
All T models are easily foldable with minimal detaching in order to remove the risk of losing parts and secure easy set up and pack away, while the perfectly shaped and sized T bag and wheels provide easy transport.
Can I upgrade from T1 to T2 or T2 to T3?
What size goal should I use?
This is a very good question in football development and there is a great deal of debate on which sized goal should be used for different aged children.
Just looking at the different football associations' recommendations around the world and you'll see huge disparity, for example NZ recommends 4m x 2m for children under 10 while Australia and the UK 3.7m x 1.8m, the EU 3m x 1.55m , Sweden 3m x 1.5m and Spain and Portugal 1.8 x 1.2m.
With the flexibility of the Telescopicgoal you can choose which size you would like and we have completed our own research into recommended sizes per age. Our table of sizes can be found in each of our products images.
How does the net adjust on a Telescopicgoal which can change to 35 different sizes?
Telescopicgoal nets come with colour matching attachable carabiners which connect to marked size loops on the net, making for easy adjustments.
When Telescopicgoal is adjusted to small sizes, the extra netting sits on the ground and can be wrapped around the rotating groundbar.
Our two piece nets consist of a side net (only used on larger sizes) and a main net. All Telescopicgoals come with all netting required for 35 different sizes. See T3 Instruction video: here
Are my kids safe setting up the T models?
Our T Models are engineered to be as quick, easy, and safe to set up as possible. Unlike other products on the market, the T models have a unique pack away system that limits the need for disassembly, ensuring safe handling and stability throughout the set up and pack away stages.
Our instruction manuals arrive with our products but can also be found here on our website for guidance during the set up and pack away stages. These goals are still made of durable metal however, and we recommend parental guidance/help during set-up and pack-away.
How sustainable and environmentally friendly are Telescopicgoals?
A life cycle analysis (LCA) has been calculated on Telescopicgoals and other football goals made from PVC and Steel.
The T3 Telescopicgoal made from Aluminium uses 8% of the CO2 emissions. when compared to a 5m x 2m PVC goal and 4 % for a steel goal. If you want to reduce your environmental impact buy Telescopcigoals.
